Talent Show

Congratulations to our 21 students involved in the Talent Show and thank you to the many more who were brave enough to audition. Public singing and performing is not easy to do. Thank you to Mrs. Gordon, Ms. McLean, Mrs. Churchman, and Ms. Kim for your facilitation of this event and support of our students. Thank you to all who were able to attend on Thursday evening.

Toiletries Collection

A student led initiative: LAST CALL! We are collecting toiletries for a local women's shelter, Julliette's Place for abused women and children. We’re collecting: Body Lotion, Toothbrush/Toothpaste, Deodorant, Facial Cleanser, Body Wash/Soap (Bar), Shampoo and Conditioner, Pads/Tampons, Loofahs, Lip gloss/balm, Makeup kits For more information click here https://www.julliettesplace.ca/

Unlearn Session at Joseph Howe Sr. PS

Joseph Howe’s School Council has arranged for a virtual Unlearn session focusing on discussing issues of equity and inclusion with our students. They have extended an invitation to any parents/guardians of their feeder schools. The event will happen on Tuesday, June 6th from 7:00-8:00. Please see the link to attend in the weekly.

Kindergarten Registration

Registration is now open for students who will be starting Junior Kindergarten in September. Registration is open to children who be 4 years of age by December 31, 2023. Have you read any good books lately?

Just Read It encourages all students, staff and the entire TDSB community to engage in the joy of reading and to share the experience of reading a wide range of books with each other. Whether signed out at a school library, the local public library, read at home or read in the classroom, all books submitted will be tracked and counted throughout the year. Visit here as often as possible to submit your books to count towards the TDSB total and to recommend your favourite books to everyone! Monthly prizes will be randomly awarded to motivate and mobilize our school community.
